Convenient sensitive and safe EZBlue(TM) Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 colloidal protein stain improves protein electrophoresis results while significantly reducing staining time. Conveniently packaged EZBlue requires no messy weigh-ups or additions of methanol or acid. As a colloidal stain it reacts only with proteins not the gel itself. Background staining is reduced so protein bands can be visualized almost immediately. No destaining step is required although a water wash may intensify bands and clarify the background. Most impressively EZBlue is extremely sensitive detecting as little as 5 ng of protein.

SmartGlow Nucleic Acid Stain is ideal for excitation of nucleic acids with UV or visible blue light transilluminators. Unlike EtBR, SmartGlow it is non-mutagenic and does not require special methods of disposal. SmartGlow PS (Pre Stain) can be used as a direct replacement for Ethidium Bromide in agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Gel Loading Dye, Blue (6X) is a Bromophenol Blue-based loading dye offering convenient gel loading and sharp bands. You may also be interested in our Gel Loading Dye, Purple (6X) with and without SDS, for sharp bands and no UV shadow. Gel Loading Dye, Blue (6X) is a pre-mixed loading buffer with one tracking dye for agarose and non-denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. This solution contains SDS, which often results in sharper bands, as some restriction enzymes are known to remain bound to DNA following cleavage. EDTA is also included to chelate magnesium (up to 10 mM) in enzymatic reactions, thereby stopping the reaction. Bromophenol Blue is the standard tracking dye for electrophoresis. It migrates at approximately 300 bp on a standard 1% TBE agarose gel. This product is packaged as 4x1 ml vials.
